Mark suffers from an intense form of self-hatred, which translates into neglect, chilliness, and destructive behavior. Even when he plays the trumpet, it sounds gloomy. The bleak desolation of his living environment doesn't help either. Everything and everyone seems determined to push him into the abyss. But then, at his grandfather's deathbed, he meets Lisa. A loving, yet bizarre bond is formed. A bond that spirals increasingly out of control...
